25 Clever but Practical Blanket Storage Ideas
I love a cozy blanket! I’m always cold so I use these all the time whether in the summer months when the AC is on or for the cold nights of winter when it’s freezing outside. They are the perfect home decor accessory because like throw pillows, they are great for adding color and texture to any space. Here are some great blanket storage ideas to keep your blankets neat and organized but in easy reach.
Furniture
1. Antique hutch
An antique hutch with glass doors is beautiful itself, but is a also a great way to display a collection of pretty quilts or blankets.
I love the way this looks with all of the neutrals and the casual look of the blankets mixed with the vintage pieces and the moody art.
2. Old TV Armoires
Old TV armoires are perfect a way to store large comforters because they are so deep and wide, you can store lots of blankets in them. You can find these on Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist for pretty cheap and add some shelves and you’ve got plenty of storage for just about anything.
I wrote a whole post on how we use these in our house for storage and even a mini office. For other ways to use these cabinets, check out How to Create Easy Extra Storage with Repurposed Old TV Cabinets.
So pretty! If you want to display more of your blankets, keep one or both doors open. If not, simply close it up.

You have some really great ideas for display! I will say that vacuum bags nor anything plastic are good idea for storing quilts. Thanks for sharing.
As a quilter and weaver I am always looking to display my things rather than hide them away. This is the best collection of ideas I have ever seen. I am going to ‘save’ almost every one of them. I do some of these already too and I have a quilt on top of an armoire in my guest room as well. Love your posts. Donna
Thank you so much, Donna! I’m so glad you found the ideas helpful. Happy New Year!
