Farmhouse Fall Home Tour – Classic Fall Colors
Classic Fall colors and Antique and vintage pieces add warmth to each space in part two of this cozy farmhouse Fall home tour.
In the first part of our 2020 Fall Home Tour I talked about the importance of having a “jumping off point” or inspiration piece for decorating, whether it is for everyday or a season. For this part of the tour, the inspiration was my favorite pair of pillows I use every fall. They are the foundation for the classic fall colors in this farmhouse fall home tour.

The color combination is just beautiful with the classic warm fall colors including the burnt orange, mustard yellow and greenish gray.
These pillows are a few years old but you can find similar pillows here.
TIP: Don’t be afraid to mix patters.
I also used the thrift store print I picked up at our local Rebuilding Together store. Although it is a different kind of floral pattern they work together because they have all of the same colors in them. Plus the gold frame also carries in from the other rooms.
Tip: use the same neutral base colors to carry throughout each space to help create a cohesive look.
I used black, brown and gold along with the burnt orange and yellow accents.

I found this bittersweet on our property. It adds a nice pop of orange and yellow against the gray/black of the old crocks.
If you like this look, you can find faux bittersweet here.
One of my favorite things about this room is that most of the pieces are thrifted. 🙂

The antique tray is filled with dried oranges, flowers, pinecones and other natural elements which add color and texture.
The pictures on the wall are FREE printables. 🙂
TIP: Go with the faux.
Faux pumpkins are great because you can store them every year and if you change your color scheme, you can always paint them.

The picture below was also a thrift store find and also goes with the pillows, although the colors are a bit more muted. I lucked out because the pumpkins are from our garden and are the perfect color green/gray. Sometimes there are happy accidents. 🙂
I love the coziness that is added with this autumn color scheme in the living room!
This Farmhouse Fall Home Tour started in the family room. This is the view into the Den or Living room.
I have to admit, although I’m super happy I decided to try something new and I do enjoy the yellow and plum in the first part of our Fall Home Tour, the burnt orange and gold have my heart. I think it must be from growing up in the Northeast surrounded by these beautiful trees in the fall.
What about you, what color story do you prefer??
Happy DIY’ing!
