25 Days of Easy & Inexpensive Christmas Crafts You Can Make Now
If you’re looking for a fun way to get the holiday season started, I have 25 days of Christmas crafts for inspiration.
I know it may seem a bit early especially when you think of the 25 days of Christmas but who said they need to be consecutive?? What if you did a little at a time instead of all at once? Whether it’s making your home festive for the holiday season with all 5 senses, easy DIY gift ideas, or cute ways to countdown to Christmas, don’t wait until December 1st to get started! Grab your hot cocoa and get a few things done now with these fun ideas to make your holiday season less stressful and more enjoyable. 🙂
Let’s start with a way to count down to Christmas…
1. Advent calendar.
This one you have to make early! There are number of Christmas countdown activities especially for younger kids but this is a super simple project the whole family can do together. Pick up a thrift store frame and use twine or ribbon to hang the little bags. Simply use a glue stick to attach the numbers.
2. Christmas music art.
There is nothing like music to get you in the holiday spirit! Here’s an easy project to do with scrapbook paper and a thrifted frame.
3. Paper star garland.
This is so cute and would look good in so many places like on the tree, hanging from the fireplace mantel or on a doorway. You could even drape it over some books on a shelf or wrap it around a wreath or over a headboard.

4. Christmas ornaments made from cookie cutters.
5. Vintage inspired Christmas gift bags.
6. Make snow covered pine cones.
This is super easy Christmas craft and there are so many ways to use them including adding them to wreaths, using them in a centerpiece and placing them in a bowl with some greens for a simple vignette. They can also carry you through after Christmas for Winter decorating ideas.

7. Christmas Garland made from Vintage bingo cards.
You can also use the leftover cards for a Christmas family game night! I found these vintage bingo cards at a thrift store and used a glue stick to attached the gift tags and cutouts. Then I strung them on simple twine.

8. Homemade spiced vanilla sugar scrub gift jar.
9. 5 minute DIY Christmas Luminaries.
Have any jelly or pickle jars in your recycling bin?? Make something pretty with them in no time or use a canning jar with a floating candle, some cranberries and a sprig of rosemary or other greenery. Take it a step further and wrap twine or ribbon around the top.
10. Christmas greenery tins.
This was one of my favorite creative things to do with old popcorn tins. Simply spray paint, stencil and fill with greenery.
11. Rustic wood candle holders.
I love the rustic feel of these. It’s a great way to use broken branches or leftover firewood. Just cut into chunks and drill a hole in the middle for the votive or tea light candle. You can also skip adding the hole in the middle and use them with with pillar candles.
12. Christmas wooden spoons.
These are super cute and the possibilities are endless. You could do all different Holiday sayings, their initials or small images stenciled like Christmas trees or stars. Take it a step further and stencil kitchen towels to match. This Christmas craft is an easy way to make a easy hostess gift when you add it all to a basket.
13. Painted wooden bead garland.
This is great for fine motor skills for younger kids with little hands. 🙂
You can repaint these each year if you want to change up your color scheme.
14. DIY Framed Christmas Card Display.
No place to put the Christmas cards you receive? This is a cute, budget friendly project that can be made in no time.
15. Amber glass ornaments.
These can be so expensive so this is a great DIY project and you can do them in whatever color you like.
16. Make a Merry Christmas book page banner.
What a great way to use those books you find at thrift stores that no one is using any longer. It adds such a nice vintage feel to the Christmas decor.
17. Aged terra cotta pot centerpiece.
This project is a bit messy but fun. You an customize it to whatever color scheme you have going and could even add battery operated Christmas lights to the cutting board for a soft glow Christmas eve.
18. Rustic DIY burlap candy canes.
Talk about easy Christmas crafts! There are so many things you can do with these! Place them flat in a basket with some greenery, hung on twine down the banister like a garland or hung on ribbon in the windows.
19. Make Gingerbread houses.
For a lot of fun, get the kids involved or invite friends over and make it a whole evening. You can even make it a family tradition like they did over at Family Table Treasures.
20. Make Hot Chocolate gift sets.
These are so cute and so much fun for Christmas morning for kids of all ages. (I’d mix mine with coffee :)) They also make a great diy gift if you tie a little ribbon around the top and put them in a cute little basket. For decor, place them in a clear glass jar on the counter in the kitchen or lay them flat in a basket with some greenery. Pick all of the ingredients up the next time you’re at the grocery store and you’re all set. Easy peasy!

21. Embroidery hoop Christmas wreath.
Combine your own embellishments in different ways including greenery, pinecones red and white berry picks, small ornaments or anything that matches your christmas color theme. With the simple use of a hot glue gun, you can create a beautiful wreath in no time.
22. Make Dried orange slices
This is a simple craft and easy to do an an afternoon. They make great homemade ornaments or a pretty garland when tied together with twine or are great piled in a wooden bowl on the counter not to mention your kitchen will smell amazing.
23. Stovetop Potpourri.
Speaking of smelling amazing! What a cute gift idea and so beautiful.
24. Cinnamon wrapped candlesticks.
25. Ribbon Wrapped Pillow.
This could not get easier. Simply wrap a plain pillow with ribbon and add whatever embellishments you like. The nice part is you can use the pillow for years to come and change out the look each year based on your color scheme.
