This time of year is a great time to hunker down and get cozy! If you’re like me, this time every year I find myself craving simplicity and this year I definitely went with that feeling with our winter decor. I really tried to make it easier by keeping some of what I had out for Christmas for some vignettes in some areas like on the top of the armoire. I just tweaked it a bit.

The mantel, however, I gave a complete overhaul. I wanted to make it feel a bit more light and airy so I added some glass elements but included some texture with the basket, bobbins and spindles covered in twine. I also left some of the faux greens.
The art is a FREE Printable I shared in my last post, 7 Simple Budget Friendly After Christmas Decorating Ideas.
I had it printed at Staples for about $1.50 and added it to a thrift store frame. Easy Winter Decor!
In the great room, I changed out the pillows so bring in the winter whites and added the cozy blankets. I also added some texture and interest to the coffee table with the basket and, my favorite, books. 🙂

I kept the mirror on the shelf and added some thrift store art. The amber bottles warm it up a bit.

In the office, I kept much of my favorite hutch the same with the black books and wood tones and white accents.
I used the same picture that is on the mantel in a smaller size.
I left this bowl the same but changed out the green candles for white ones.

The basket on top of the cabinet was from Christmas, I just removed some of the things in front of it to simplify it. I left the skates out in the corner and added a print I purchased on Etsy. You can find that Here.
I kept mostly the same decor in the family room with the greens and bottle brush trees, books and little white houses.
I tried to keep in light in here with just the green books and gold candlestick holders. The baskets add a nice contrast and texture. I also added another one of the prints from Etsy. Yes, I may be addicted but it really is such an inexpensive way to add to your decor for any season. 🙂
