Fall Home Tour 2026: Vintage Charm, Rich Texture & Classic Fall Color

Welcome to my Fall Home Tour 2026! This year I leaned into everything I love most about autumn: rich textures, timeless shades of orange and burgundy, and an unexpected element that brings a little sparkle to the season… glass. My goal was to create spaces that feel cozy, collected and inviting.

Why Texture is the Secret to Cozy Fall Decorating

Before adding a single pumpkin, I focused on texture.

Fall is the perfect season to embrace layers, and throughout our home you’ll find woven baskets, aged wood, vintage books, warm linen upholstery, dried florals, and weathered antiques. These elements instantly create warmth and make seasonal decorating feel intentional and natural.

Tip: vary heights, color and texture in the vignette to create interest.

Don’t be afraid to use things in different ways. This is an old saddlebag. I love the warmth it adds to this space.

Decorating the Shelves with Collected Layers

Shelf styling for me is always a mix of old and new.

For fall shelf styling, rather than filling every spot with pumpkins, I layered the shelves with the things I love most; vintage books, brass candlesticks, framed artwork, baskets, natural elements, and small seasonal accents. The result feels like fall but more curated and personal.

Try mixing different tones of the same color. Here I used warm tones with the brown books and wooden picture frames, amber bottles and gold candlesticks.

A Timeless Fall Palette: Orange & Burgundy

While trends come and go, I always find myself returning to classic autumn colors.

This year I decorated with traditional pumpkin orange, deep burgundy berries, warm rust tones, and touches of muted gold. These colors feel so nostalgic and complement the natural wood and vintage pieces already throughout our home. I feel like our home was made for fall!

Traditional Fall Decor

I added some traditional fall decor, pumpkins, here and there. I don’t usually decorate the bench on our landing but I just thought it needed something for this season.

Adding Glass to Traditional Fall Decor

Our fall living room is classic fall colors and I continued the texture throughout it as well. I added more glass than I usually do which started with this thrifted jar I found which, to me, looks like a pumpkin.

I also thrifted this glass flower frog when we were on vacation.

My friend, Krissy, gave me this adorable little vase. I added a few yellow stems and it’s perfect in this space.

And finally, I picked this cute lantern up at Hobby Lobby.
