Summer Home Tour: Vintage Cottage Style with Timeless Americana Charm
Summer simplicity: vintage cottage style with timeless Americana Charm.
Since the past few months have been so busy for us, I’ve kept my summer decor simple and focused on the pieces I love most – weathered wood, creative artwork, woven baskets and touches of Americana scattered around. It’s the vintage, cottage summer decor I love.

Summer decorating is less about changing everything and more about appreciating the beauty and simplicity of the season.

I added a few of the treasures we found on our walks on the beach over vacation.

I kept all of the green and cream throw pillows.

Adding Simple Americana Touches for Summer
I added a few small patriotic touches, vintage inspired flags tucked into crocks and baskets.

I love this barn print from Etsy.

Nothing says summer cottage style decor like baskets.

The brown, white and navy against the gray shelves just feels so timeless.

The touches of blue and green, summer prints and a simple mini flag in this cabinet feel light and seasonal. I added texture with the light wood from the antique cigar mold and the wooden screen on the bottom.

Easy Summer Decorating with Vintage and Thrifted Finds
The beauty of these thrifted finds is I can use them from season to season just by adding in simple seasonal touches like the flag.

My favorite summer art and family photos mixed with vintage and thrifted frames make for easy summer decorating ideas and a collected home style.

Blue and White Cottage Decor for Summer
In the kitchen I used the blue and white dishes handed down to me from my MIL. They mean the world to me and I love seeing them everyday.

Creating a Collected Cottage Home for Summer
Summer decorating here is less about changing everything and more about appreciating the beauty of the pieces we already have. By opening the curtains, letting in the sunshine, and adding a few seasonal touches and personal treasures, our home feels warm, welcoming, and ready for the slower pace of summer.
Here’s to enjoying the rest of the summer. I would love to hear how you decorate your home this season!
Happy decorating!
